Today is April 22 – better known as Earth Day, which was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 to promote environmental awareness and a commitment to sustainability.
There’s no time like the present to join the green movement.
With Easter just around the corner, I tried to decorate some eggs with natural dyes. Using everyday ingredients from the pantry and fridge (who knew vegetable scraps could be destined for more than just compost?) I was pretty pleased with the results:
The best part was lifting the eggs out of the dye solution because some colours were so surprising, like the red cabbage-dyed eggs. And you know how much I love surprises.
Happy Easter!
