Fireworks!

Happy 4th Of July!

Although there are many things to love about the 4th, my favorite part of the day is the end, when the fireworks explode in all their glory. The lights, the colors, the sound and all the ohhhs and ahhhs always thrills me.

So when my friend Daniele-Boglivi Fiori shared these images of her newest creation I was in awe. Inspired by fireworks she saw over the Hudson last year, she has done something I think is so creative…translated fireworks into a cookie! From the custom design of the shape, to how she created the spray effect in the icing, I think they are something that are super special.

Real fireworks images from Martha’s post last year.

With Dani’s great templates, it’s easy to get the hang of the icing technique for these festive cookies. You can continue to celebrate summer even past the 4th by changing up the color combos of the icing for your own custom effects. I personally have several summer parties I think these will be great for.
